School Site Council

What is the School Site Council?

The school site council is a group of teachers, parents and classified employees who work with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. 
 

What is the purpose of the School Site Council?

During the year, the council may consider the goals of the school or district and then work with the principal to evaluate the school's progress toward those goals.
 

Who are the members of the School Site Council?

At the elementary level, the School Site Council consists of a balance between:
- The principal, teachers and school personnel and
- Parents, or community members selected by parents
